Mérida, State of Yucatan, Mexico, 1-4 June 2016
Vladimir Arana, Program Coordinator for the Americas at ISW, presented the concept of the Blue Passport and the potential for its use at the 10th World Assembly of the International Network of Basin Organizations (INBO).
The Blue Passport is a document of identity established beyond the political boundaries which identifies the porters according to the hydrological territories of their basin of belonging. The ISW-SWE had already used the Blue Passport as a basin identification tool during the public consultation with the bassinois and bassinoisses of the Cachi River in Peru.
On this occasion, the ISW-SWE also participated in the General Assembly of Latin-American Network for Basin Organizations.
